We finally got a weekend at home. We did not have to dress up to go somewhere or be on a timeline! That hasn't happened in a LONG time. It felt pretty good! Friday night, we had the Daniels over for drinks and pizza. Nice to relax and hang out! We always have a good time with them.
Saturday, was the typical "laundry day". The girls woke up and wanted to decorate the Spring Cookies they got in their Easter sacks. They had lots of fun! Kenady's cookies didn't end up with much icing. Most of it was licked off her fingers. I guess that just gives them more flavor! ;) Aison ate his decoration!
After art class, they wanted to go out for some fresh air. Aison found the only puddle of water in the county and decided to pounce in it...and then sit in it. The girls soon followed.
We then moved to the backyard to dig out the rocks under their playhouse to make it into a sandbox. I knew 3 kids would come in handy! All of them with their shovels working hard was a sight. I had to take the picture quick, they didn't last long. I, of course, had to finish it up.
As I was digging out the last of the rocks, I noticed Aison was on the ladder, for the 500th time that afternoon. I was just about to get him off when he slipped and fell of the ladder. His head hit so hard, it sounded like he hit concrete. I ran over to pick him up and saw that his forehead was dented in really bad. I waited for a minute for a knot to show up, but it didn't. That really scared me, so I left the girls with Chad, grabbed Mom, and ran to the ER. Of course by the time the Dr. arrived, about an hour after the fall, it finally started to pump out. They took some x-rays to be sure, but everything looked ok. I hate to think about it, but I know that this is just the first of many to come. He is all boy!! You would think that it would have slowed him down a little on the steps, but that night, he tried to go up the girls' bunk bed ladder. He is definitely keeping things interesting!!
Kenady-ism: After bath, Kenady found her gown PJs she loves so much and put it on herself. She crawled up in bed, stood up, and asked "Momma, do I look interesting in this?"

Easter 2011
The kids had a blast this Easter. It's so fun to watch them get excited. We have lots of little ones hunting, which makes it even more fun! Aison would have been just as happy if he could have carried around his first egg and shook it. Dylan was in competition mode, and Kenady was just happy to be there! Lots of fun!!

Update
Well, I'm not doing my job. I'm not keeping up with this like I said I would. Life just rolls on and I don't feel like it's that interesting to all of you. Here is my attempt to catch you up on normal, everyday life in the Skelton house for the last month.
Aison is now 14 months. He runs everywhere. He wakes up happy and begins his day with his normal ornery smile! He loves, loves, loves being outside. He runs to the door every time he hears it open and will escape if given a 2 second opportunity. He has been teething now for the past 3 months nonstop. One comes in and another blisters up. It takes his teeth forever to come through so he has had diaper issues for the entire time. His vocabulary has grown so much!! He now says Mama, Daddy, LeeRoy(oy-oy), Trash(tash)-After changing his diaper, he now patiently waits for you to fold it up so he can take it to the "tash". He loves playing in the bath water while I take a bath. He gets mad if there aren't any "bubus" (bubbles). He loves to sit in my lap and "jive"(drive) to Nanny's. Don't turn me in. She is 2 blocks away and we "jive" 5 mph the whole way. No races yet! He can say juice and asks for his bottle right before bed. (Yes, I know he shouldn't be taking a bottle. That is a summer project) He can say Kenady (Tidady). That makes Dylan so mad. He won't try to say hers. He will now repeat just about everything you ask him to. He has already started torchering Dylan. He will take any chance he can to "pounce" on her. He waits until she is suspecting nothing and he hits her upside the head with a mousse can or on the back with a shoe or pulls her hair. Pretty comical!
Kenady is Kenady!! She keeps us on our toes! She is going through a pretty tough stage right now. She has decided she likes to throw fits...BIG ONES! If not allowed to "do it by myself" or things don't go as she had planned, the kicking and screaming, crying and stomping are on like Donkey Kong!! She IS getting better. This one is a work in progress. She loves doing everything in 3's right now. "I'm 3 so I need 3" she will say. She loves playing on the iPad, which drives me nuts, and watching cartoons. I have to limit her time on both. She loves the fact that she goes to a different grandma's every day. In the morning, the 1st words out of her mouth are "What day is it today?" To which I have to say...Nanny day, Granny day, Mimi day, or Nya-Ya day. Outside is where she loves to be. She likes playing with sidewalk chalk, riding her bike and swinging. She is finally drawing actual people when she draws. They are heads with legs and arms attached, but they are people. Funny how all kids start the same. She went to the dentist for the first time last week. She was a champ! After her cleaning, it was my turn. When they started cleaning, Kenady looked at me and said, "Wow, Momma! You are doing soooo good!! I'm so proud of you!" She said this as she patted my arm. We are now recovering from a pretty bad bout of Rotavirus! This is a stomach bug that can last up to 9 days. We were on day 5 of throwing up and diarrhea when I decided to take her to the Dr. to make sure she hadn't dehydrated. While standing at the counter to check in and pay, she threw up at least a gallon of clear liquid right there in line. People were lined up behind us to check in. It was a helpless feeling. After calling us back we followed Amber, Dr. H's nurse, down the hall to our room. Kenady said, "Hey, did you know that every time I cough and sneeze, I poop in my pants?" Not missing a beat, the nurse laughed and said that was a terrible problem. Kenady agreed! Moral to this story....don't ask her if you don't want to know. The fuzzy picture below is of her first time on "The Big Stage" for tap! She loved it and never missed a beat. We had to wait backstage for over an hour. I had the wrong lens on and it was blurry. I also had trouble with the video camera working. So...no record of this one. Thank goodness she will do it again. Her tap recital is in a few weeks. I have to say...she is such a cutie!!
Dylan is just growing up so fast. We are already dealing with drama I thought would come later. Wow, what will it be like when she's a teenager? She is doing so great in school. She has had all A's this year. I believe 95 is the lowest. She was chosen for Good Citizen for a 6 weeks. She is such a good little artist! She draws, paints, colors, and writes nonstop. She did great in basketball, loves gymnastics and will be starting Coach Pitch soon. She is involved in Clover Kids and loves participating in some of the community service projects. The thorn in my side right now is the "Little Miss Wellington" pageant coming up next month. There was no amount of money or bribe that would talk her out of doing this. Let me just add that I HATE pageants. I hate the fact that these little girls are judged on their looks. Are we not in a society that already judges us on our looks enough? I don't want Dylan to ever think she's not good enough or pretty enough or that there is something wrong with her. Especially based on 3 judges opinions. I caved and let her be in it, but I can only hope that she decides on her own that it isn't something she wants to do throughout her school years. Dylan's love right now is her Christmas gift from Santa...LeeRoy. Yes, I know. I didn't pick the name. Just had to get that out there. He is a 6 month old English Mastiff. He is goofy and large and clumsy. It's pretty funny watching him. I will let the pictures say the rest.
Now that I have given you our life story, I will hopefully begin to have a little more time to keep this up to date and not write a novel each time.

Kenady-isms
3/30/11**Chad bought Kenady a Root beer. I guess this was her first one. She drank on it for a while. After about 1/2 of it was gone, she came to me and said "Momma, my tummy is huwting! I think it's because my woot beea has beea in it!" (That's me trying to type in Kenady language ;P)
3/24/11**We were sitting in Roberson's yesterday ordering our food. When the waitress got to Kenady she ordered a Burrito. The waitress asked what kind of burrito she would like and Kenady replied, "A tasty one!"
3/7/11** Nya-ya (Lori) just text me. Kenady wanted to show her how fast she could run. After showing her "Horton cat-like reflexes" she said "Look, I can run fast as a JERK!" Don't ask...I have no idea!
3/2/11** Took Aison for his 1-yr checkup last week. After waiting patiently for an hour with 3 kids by myself, I noticed Kenady was getting a little ancy. She then decided to get up and practice her tap dancing. She promised me she would "whisper tap". She put on a great show! The crabby couple next to us was paying her no attention, which she isn't used to. She said "Hi" to them. But no response. After several attempts to get their attention to no avail, she turned to me and said LOUDLY..."Momma, why are they not saying hi to me? Is it because they're old?" The look of horror on Dylan's face knowing that they could clearly hear Kenady was as funny as what Kenady said.

Party Time!
Aison's party was a hit! All the little boys running around made it crazy fun! I can't wait to see them as they grow together. Aison dug into his cake like a champ! Black icing on elbows, eyebrows and toes!!! It was like an assembly line of boys going from chair to bath then back to playing! We now need a separate room just for Aison's boy toys!!! Thanks everyone for coming and for making it such a memorable time! I love you Aison!

I am "This Many"!!
I'm a little late on this, but better late than never! My baby turned the big "1" February 15th! I can't believe it. Time flies sooo fast. It hits a little harder when you know it's your last 1st birthday. :( I love my little man with all my heart and all my soul! He is so much fun and has the best personality. I think he is a lot like Kenady. Saying that, we are definitely in for lots of laughs and maybe a few spankings! He is saying "dri"(drive), "pu"(puppy), "ba"(ball). He also says "aaaah" when he knows he's doing something he shouldn't or when the dog comes close. He started walking at 11 months and is doing great now. He hardly ever crawls. We just took out the afternoon bottle so he is now only taking one to fall asleep with. It may be a while before this one leaves. We both need that one!! He is still waking a few times at night. Sometimes I can get him back to sleep with the paci and a pat on the butt, but most times he has to be rocked for a while. He loves playing with balls and with both girls. Dylan is such a great helper. She wants to be a little "Momma". He isn't always for it though. He loves, loves, LOVES to be outside. It is a fight to the finish to get him back in the house. He also loves his Daddy! He just melts Chad's heart when he reaches for him! I love my kids so very much. More than words can say. It's amazing to me how this little boy made our family complete!! We love you AC!!
Vegas!!
Well, I finally got Chad to go to Vegas with me!! Actually, I didn't. Mom & Danny did. We were given a trip with the family to Vegas for Christmas/Birthdays!! What a gift! We are truly blessed to have such generous parents. It doesn't hurt that they are a blast to be around too! Randi, Taylor, Scott, Kristi, Mom, Danny, Chad & I all graced Vegas with our presence! "She" was nice to some of us, but not so to others. Chad lost quite a bit, but that only fueled his once skeptical fire. He is already planning another trip there or Shreveport! WooHoo for me!!! While there, Chad got TAKEN from Mr. 3-Card Monty! He reached in Chad's wallet, said "I would like that crisp 100 dollar bill", said "Thank-You very much" and sent Chad on his way wandering what the hell happened! He has now been practicing his "Monty" skills and will try it on everyone around. Just ask him!! We had a great time and hope we can do it again before long! Thanks Mom and Danny! We love you! Randi has the pictures. As soon as I get one I'll post.
